Cawdor Castle x Downright Gabbler
In honour of the 50th anniversary of Cawdor Castle being open to the public, we are partnering with the Downright Gabbler for two exclusive evenings of dining and entertainment. Enjoy storytelling and a three-course meal provided by the Downright Gabbler team, in the setting of the Castle Courtyard Cafe. You are also invited to explore the Castle Gardens after hours.
Never ordinarily open to the public in the evenings, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to join us for a bespoke event exploring the food and stories of Cawdor Castle and Nairnshire. The evening meal will begin at 7pm with guests seated together on banquet style tables of 12, where you will be served three delicious courses in a relaxed atmosphere. The anticipated menu is below. Dietary requirements can be catered for, provided we have 24 hours notice.
Menu
The trio of starters (Haggis bon-bon, Leek and potato soup and beetroot crostini)
Slow braised beef cheek with pommes puree and seasonal veg
Kirsty’s cranachan (a Royal Brackla pannacotta with raspberry coulis and caramelised oat crumb)
